Jackie Gleason’s Limo’s

One of our favorite haunts in Peekskill just got a kick ass car ass.  “Jackie” (78×40 inches) was installed on January 7 and was followed on the 8th by a gathering of friends and locals to celebrate its unveiling.  This painting was commissioned by the restaurant Gleason’s, located in downtown Peekskill, and was obviously inspired by the actor Jackie Gleason, who owned several Lincoln limousines.

Lincoln limo at Gleason'sMr. Gleason lived briefly near Peekskill where his mansion “Round Rock Hill” was built. Inspired by his fascination with UFO’s, the house was designed to look like a flying saucer.

Elements of Gleason’s obsession with the paranormal are included in the layers of this new work but you have to get up close and personal to view these objects.  Pay a visit to Gleason’s and check it out in person.

Gleason’s is located at 911 South Street, Peekskill NY.
